As I mentioned on the page, Previous Lesson, one of our departments goals this year is to develop a comprehensive Nutrition curriculum grades K-12. Every school analyzed their curriculum and we had a meeting to work on developing a comprehensive curriculum. It was decided that grade 6 would address the topic of Healthy/Unhealthy Snacks. I thought this would be a great opportunity to redesign this lesson using Web 2.0 tools.

Tools chosen
I chose the tools above, in italics,as I thought they would be a good way to meet the objectives of this lesson. I tried to present the information in an interesting way and also included tools where the students would have to collaborate with each other. As the previous lesson did not incorporate any technology, I feel by using technology, the lesson is markedly improved. All 3 learning styles: visual, auditory and kinesthetic, are used in this lesson. I do feel by addressing all learning styles, student learning will improve. Also, because of the variety of presentations of the material, I feel the students will be more interested and therefore, their learning will improve. The use of technology will definitely improve my teaching, as I will be able to make the lessons more relevant, more interesting, and more informative to the students.
